Why is it important for me?

If a textile article carries the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 label, you can be certain that every component of this article, i.e. every thread, button and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless to your health. As you are now about to choose something that will be closest to your body, it is a relief to know no toxic materials will be harming your skin.

Why is this label not on every item I see in the market?

It is not that simple to attain Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification:

  • The certification is voluntary
  • It must be updated annually
  • Certification is conducted by independent third-party laboratories
  • The criteria for Oeko-Tex testing is reviewed every year, so they are always up to date
  • The testing takes into account every conceivable way that harmful substances can enter the body

Yet it is always worthy to choose item certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and it is good to know that the clothes you have chosen are harmless in human ecological terms. That is why we worked hard to provide a product that was certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100!
